      You have left! (?) (thinking…)

I’ve been thinking for a while about changing the way the practice drills work, to make them more like games — they’d use points, and you’d get a lot of points when you finished something big (like entering an entire scale) but only lose a little bit for a small error (like entering one wrong note).

I don’t have a definite date for this particular change yet, but I agree there should be some change here.

I’d love to make an iPhone app (or, multiple apps for the multiple drills). Right now I don’t have the time to develop it, so I’m considering the options of having another company do the development, or doing an Android app (this is easier) and using a tool to port that to the iPhone.

Thanks for the feedback! Sorry I can’t help you right away…

i’m working on a Scale Degrees drill where you give the responses in solfege — I think that’ll address this pretty well. The drill will establish the key (playing or showing the tonic note or chord of the scale, for example) then play or show a random note — and you’ll select what scale degree it is (solfege syllable, or number).

                  • Create drills for clarinet, flute, & saxophone fingerings. If those were on the site I'd subscribe.

I love the theory drills, but the fingering drills would be the deal closer for me. That would be a truly invaluable addition to my teaching, and I'd subscribe in a heartbeat. Until then, it's not quite worth it to have to subscribe and still send my students to different sites to do both.

Triplets, swing rhythms, just generally what you actually encounter while reading music, not just the very simple rhythms this exercise gives you.

                          • Make a drill that helps students learn the ENTIRE guitar fretboard.

As you know, the guitar fret drill only really helps students learn the first few frets. It would be nice to have something that helps students learn the entire fretboard.

I’ve talked with a few teachers about this — probably extending the current drill to show 7 frets, and then letting you choose which part of the fretboard to test on (a different set of 7 frets).

                            • How about a reading drill for ledger lines?

So many of my students read the grand staff well, but have problems with notes above and below the staff; some sort of reading drill which would focus on notes +/- 3 ledger lines in both directions from bass and treble clef staves would be great!

                              • Make the staff larger so it is easier to click the note you want

It is too easy to accidentally click the wrong line or space on the staff and lose big points when you only have five or six pixels' worth of vertical wiggle room.

I’d love to make it flexible — the more space you have on your screen, the bigger the notes — but that is pretty tricky to do; I will try to at least make it larger. Thanks for the feedback!

                                • develop a drill like your violin family drills but for brass and wind fingerings. Much bigger market

Develop a drill like your violin family fingering/pitch drills but for brass and wind fingerings. I'm a string player but band instrument players represent a much larger user base.

My class would love the ability to play the notes together in the ear interval training. We find that having the notes be played together makes it easier to hear what kind of interval it is (Major, Minor, Augmented, Diminished)

                                      • Add the option for a 'submit' button

When building chords, scales, etc, sometimes I accidentally move the mouse a hair, and it counts it wrong (obviously). I think there should at least be the option for a submit button so you can build whatever you're building, select the answer you want, etc, then hit OK or submit or something so it doesn't count your motor skills errors against you. On assignments, this isn't so much of a worry, but I just took a test today for a class, and its really screwing up my grade.
